In a bid to boost job opportunities for residents, the Dubai Land Department (DLD) has partnered with nine developers, both private and government-backed, to reserve a portion of their property projects for sale through Emirati brokers.
Under the agreement with Emaar Properties, Expo Dubai, Deyaar, Damac Properties, Azizi Developments, MAG, Sobha Realty, Ellington Properties, and Al Bait Al Duwaliy Real Estate Development, these developers will allocate between 10% to 15% of their projects for Emirati brokers.
This initiative is part of the “Dubai Real Estate Programme” aimed at nurturing local talent in the real estate sector. The agreement entails providing guidance, training, and support to Emiratis to enhance their skills and encourage them to venture into real estate.
Marwan bin Ghalita, acting director-general of DLD, emphasized the program’s goal of boosting citizen participation in the real estate sector. He expressed optimism about achieving significant outcomes through collaboration with real estate partners, highlighting the sector’s crucial role in Dubai’s economy.
