Dubai’s population spiked in the first quarter of 2024, driven by an influx of foreign investors and laborers. Compared to the same period last year, the emirate experienced a faster growth rate.
Data from the Dubai Statistics Centre reveals that Dubai’s population reached 3,680,785 between January and March 2024, marking a significant increase of 25,776 residents. This surge outpaced the 25,489 new residents during the same period in the previous year, indicating a quicker flow of foreign professionals into the city.
The introduction of recent residency programs, such as the golden and silver visas, attracted thousands of wealthy foreigners worldwide who are now seeking to settle in the United Arab Emirates.
As Dubai’s and the UAE’s economies continue to grow robustly, driven by an increasing number of international businesses choosing to establish headquarters in the region, more job opportunities will arise, further fueling population growth in the coming years.
