The city’s hotel occupancy rate soared to 77.4%, showcasing its popularity among travelers worldwide. To meet the rising demand, Dubai expanded its hotel capacity to over 150,000 rooms, further enhancing its appeal to tourists.
The surge in tourism also had a positive impact on the economy, with lodging and food services witnessing an impressive 11.1% growth in the first nine months of 2023, contributing to Dubai’s overall GDP expansion of 3.3%. Major events like Gitex and Gulfood attracted over 200,000 visitors, sustaining the city’s vibrant scene.
